What this portal does
Each module reads cached static JSON compiled at build time by the ETL in this repository. No page scrapes a government website while you are on it.
All 52 barangay boundaries from the PSA/NAMRIA release, with flood and landslide hazard overlays from Project NOAH where the layer is compiled.
OpenFY 2024 receipts and expenditures, annual regular income, NTA dependency, the Special Education Fund and the disaster risk reduction fund — one row per section of the BLGF workbooks.
OpenSearchable index of every barangay with its PSGC code, land area and position, plus a per-barangay page that cross-references the fiscal and hazard data.
OpenSend a drainage, road, waste or disaster-response concern to the office that handles it, get a reference code, and follow its status.
OpenEvery dataset this portal is built from: publisher, licence, retrieval date, row count, checksum and the exact file it produced.
OpenMoney
FY 2024 figures as published by BLGF, marked "Preliminary" by the source. Nominal pesos, not inflation-adjusted. Rows the source leaves blank are published as null, never as zero.

Geography
Labo spans 628.71 km² across 5 poblacion barangays and 47 rural and upland barangays, with 5 accounting for most of the upland watershed around Mt. Labo.
Conditions
Live conditions and a five-day outlook for the municipal centre. The Busig-on and Labo river basin floods quickly — this is context, not a warning system.
Weather
Loading the current conditions for Labo…
Why this is here
Labo’s lowlands along the Maharlika Highway flood first, and the upland barangays around Mt. Labo drain into the same basin. Rain totals over a few days matter more here than the temperature does.
This is the only live figure on the portal. Everything else is compiled from government sources at build time — a forecast is the one thing that would be worse for being cached.
Provenance
4 of 5 declared sources were compiled in the last refresh. Nothing on this portal is typed by hand.

What this portal does not know yet
A transparency portal that guesses is worse than one that says nothing. These fields are named in the project brief but have no machine-readable source wired up, so they are shown as pending rather than filled in:
Barangay population
No barangay-level PSA census extract is published on data.bettergov.ph. Place an official PSA Census of Population file at data/sources/psa-population.csv (headers: psgc_code,population,source,year) and re-run `npm run etl barangays` to attach it.
Annual Investment Plan (AIP) line items
The AIP is published per-LGU as a PDF on the LGU website, not as a structured dataset. The FDPP explorer links to the source document instead of transcribing it.
Commission on Audit annual audit report text
data.bettergov.ph dataset 14 indexes COA audit-agency listings as PDFs; the Labo-specific report has not been parsed into structured rows.
Elected and appointed officials
COMPILED — see apps/web/public/data/lgu.json. Source: the Municipality of Labo's own website (labo.gov.ph) via the Wayback Machine, because the live host is behind a Cloudflare challenge. Every section carries the snapshot date it came from, because the current capture names no mayor, vice mayor or councilor.
Independence and safety
BetterLabo is an independent, volunteer-built civic technology project. It is not an official website of the Municipality of Labo, and it is not affiliated with any political party or candidate. Every figure links to the government source it came from.
This portal is not an emergency channel. In a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or the MDRC/MDRRMO hotline directly.
